Celebrate Independence Day in historic Downtown Smithfield!
Kick off the evening at 6:00 PM with a moving public reading of the Declaration of Independence on the front steps of the 1750 Isle of Wight Courthouse, presented in period attire. 📜🎩
Then, relax on the courthouse lawn from 6:30–8:30 PM with live music by The Old Goats. 🎶🪑 Bring a chair or blanket.
🎆 End the night with the 2026 Fireworks Show at 9:30 PM, launching from Clontz Park. Great viewing spots include Smithfield Station and anywhere along the riverfront. 🌊✨
