Industry experts are predicting color landscapes for interior design to be swathed in paint shades that will make us feel healthy, serene, and centered. Whether you're heading into home renovations or your home just needs a fresh pick-me-up this spring, these trending paint colors will bring a breath of fresh air into your home this year.

Gone are the days of the cool grays and blues, interior designers and stylists are looking to earth tones color schemes to add warmth and ambiance to the home. Think warm neutrals with pops of subtle color. Here are a few of our favorite ways to use these trending paint colors throughout your home.

  1. The Color Green

Designers and stylists can’t get enough of Sherwin Williams’ color of the year, Evergreen Fog, and for good reason! This earthy gray-green provides a pop of color that is still calming and serene. Used on furniture, walls and even cabinets - homeowners and furniture flippers can’t get enough of this gorgeous color.

  1.  Statement & Accent Walls

Create drama and interest in any room on a budget by using paint and inexpensive materials to create accent walls. Using different, but cohesive colors to separate areas of an otherwise open plan concept will help define your space. We love the drama that this accent wall painted in Sherwin Williams Black Fox provides in this workspace!

  1. Painted Trim

Tired of the bright white walls and all-white trim? While this scheme can be considered timeless, you can easily add character to your room by painting the trim in color! Our favorite: Sherwin Williams Accessible Beige complimented by Sherwin Williams Alabaster painted walls. We love how Jenna Sue Design incorporated these classic and timeless paint colors into her home design.

  1. Monochromatic Themes

Add color and drama to any room by painting walls and trim the same for a monochromatic, yet elevated look. We love this rich, yet warm navy blue from Farrow and Ball “Stiffkey Blue” and love how blogger Chris Loves Julia styled it in their bonus room.

Earth tone paint colors provide timeless charm and versatility. Play around with different shades and tones until you find something you like! Since warm, earthy tones are classic, choosing a palette in line with these colors may be a good investment and a practical choice for your next room refresh.
