Temperatures in Hampton Roads are finally cooling down, Fall is officially in the air and LIVE EVENTS ARE BACK! Whether you're planning a day date or looking for family activities to do this Fall, we highly recommend checking out these fun activities to do around Hampton Roads!

1. Fall Festival & Pick-Your-Own Pumpkins at Historic Greenbrier Farms Season Long | Chesapeake, VA

Come enjoy 15 acres of pumpkin patch and pick your own pumpkins in Chesapeake! PYO pumpkins start at $12 and include a free hayride! Plus, be sure to check out the farm's barnyard animals, playground, and bounce house. Don't miss their beautiful sunflower fields (while in bloom), and before you leave, stop by the farmer's market to pick up all of your favorite fall essentials: mums, pumpkin butters, jams, local hot sauce, goat soaps, house plants, fresh produce, ice cream and more! 2. Virginia Children’s Festival 

October 2nd | 10AM to 3PM

Don't miss Hampton Road's most exciting family festival that is filled with more than 100 fun, creative and interactive activities! Activities include storytelling, hands-on workshops, cultural experiences, art and crafts, military demonstrations, costume characters, and more! 3. Suffolk Peanut Fest

October 8th - 10th | Hours Vary

Suffolk Executive Airport, Suffolk VA

Known for its fun family activities, the Suffolk Peanut Fest offers carnival rides, lots of exciting contests and competitions, demolition derby, swamp roar motorcycle rally, monster truck rides, truck, and a tractor pull all while honoring the city's agriculture heritage and devotion to our favorite legumes: the peanut. 4. Virginia Fall Classic Car Show 

October 23rd | 9AM to 3PM

Newport News Park, Newport News VA

The Virginia Fall Classic Car Show is the largest Virginia charity car show event that benefits the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters (CHKD). This family-friend event will feature hundreds of domestic and import classics, show cars, hotrod, sportscars, and novelty vehicles on display. 5. City Center Fall Festival 

October 30th | 12PM to 6PM

702 Mariners Row, Newport News VA

To families seeking a destination for kid-friendly fall activities to the craft beer, cider and wine lovers, the City Center Fall Festival has something for everyone! City Center at Oyster Point in Newport News will be transformed into a craft beer lover’s heaven featuring local Virginia beers, ciders, and wine tasting. The fun doesn't stop there though! This fall festival will feature live music by The Joe Gosman Ban and the Tidewater Drive Band, interactive kid zones with meet and greet Spiderman and Elsa, paint your own pumpkins, kids crafts, pop-up entertainment, food trucks, artisanal food vendors, local art and craft vendors and a variety of other fun activities!
