For Paula Banatt, home has always meant more than an address. As the daughter of a Navy family, she spent her early years moving from place to place before settling in Virginia Beach in 1986. She understands what it feels like to be the new person, to build relationships from scratch, and to find a place where you truly belong. Those experiences gave her a deep appreciation for the role a home and a community play in shaping the life we live. Virginia Beach quickly became home, and it still is.
Throughout her career, Paula has been known as the person who gets things done. From leading teams and managing operations to marketing, customer experience, and business development, she's spent decades earning the trust of the people around her. Her attention to detail, calm demeanor, strong communication, and commitment to following through have made her a valued leader in every role she's held. In 2019, Paula followed an instinct she couldn't ignore. What started as an impulse and simply felt like the right next step became one of the most rewarding chapters of her career: opening an Orangetheory Fitness studio. Today, the studio serves more than 400 members with a team Paula built from the ground up. That experience reinforced something she has always believed: people deserve to live full, healthy, meaningful lives.
Whether she's helping someone improve their fitness, discover a neighborhood that better fits their lifestyle, or navigate the purchase of their dream home, Paula's passion has always been helping people create lives filled with energy, connection, flavor, activity, and joy. Real estate became a natural extension of that mission. After earning her real estate license in 2023, Paula quickly realized that the same skills that helped her build successful businesses translated seamlessly into serving buyers and sellers. She is an advocate, strategist, and trusted guide who believes every client deserves honest advice, proactive communication, and someone who is fully invested in their success. Rather than simply helping clients buy or sell a house, Paula takes the time to understand how they want to live. She believes the right home should support the life you're trying to create. Whether that's a walkable neighborhood, a waterfront retreat, a family-friendly community, or a golf course home, she enjoys helping clients find not just the perfect property, but the lifestyle that comes with it.
As an avid golfer, Paula has a special appreciation for golf course communities and the friendships and experiences they create. She understands that for many people, home extends well beyond the front door. It's about the community, the amenities, the people you meet, and the memories you make. Her firsthand knowledge of the golf lifestyle allows her to help clients who are looking for more than just a place to live—they're looking for a place to thrive. Paula chose The Verity Group because she wanted to surround herself with professionals who believe in collaboration, continual growth, and delivering an exceptional client experience. Backed by a high-performing team and industry-leading systems, she combines personalized service with the strength and resources of an entire organization.
Away from work, Paula is in the gym, on the golf course, trying a new recipe, or outside with her husband Mike and their two furbabies, Jerome Bettis and Bella. For Paula, real estate isn't simply about buying and selling homes. It's about helping people build lives they love. Because when you find the right place, surrounded by the right people, life has a way of becoming richer, healthier, and more fulfilling.
